In the period of 30th May and 15th June 2022 a group of Saamaka youth were trained to write a business cases. The group of 8 youth was divided in two groups, one of 5 youth who developed a collective business idea. This group of 5 includes Winston Vola, Samunda Jabini, Ketura Adjako, Noris Bannafoo and Bruce Mando. The idea of this group includes the processing of residual products of the cassava to make vinegar and tea from the leaves. The group of 3 youth who developed their individual plans which includes agriculture and poultry. This group includes Jurven Adjako, Merougio Jabini and Anduele Jabini who are operating their own agriculture business. The idea to establish a multipurpose cooperative was raised by the group of five to support other young Saamaka entrepreneurs to help them formalize their businesses and help them get funds to develop or expand their businesses. The youth will also use this cooperative to network among banks/donors.
