ATJONI — The Association of Saamaka Communities (VSG) looks back with satisfaction on its participation in the Saamaka Mbei Mbei Wojo Wojo 2026 fair, which was held in Atjoni on August 29 and 30. The fair offered the organization the opportunity to inform visitors about its activities, objectives, and commitment to the Saamaka communities.
During the two days of the fair, visitors could get acquainted with the VSG and receive more information about the organization’s various activities. Through flyers and conversations, interested parties were informed about the role of the VSG and its commitment to the protection and development of the Saamaka living area.
Focus on APAKI project
An important part of the VSG’s presentation was the APAKI project. Visitors received information about the villages involved in the project and the areas the project focuses on. This allowed interested parties to delve deeper into the activities and developments within the Saamaka living area. The VSG is now focusing its attention on its next activity: a training for RR and DR members within the area. With this training, the organization aims to contribute to further strengthening, knowledge development, and better deployment of local representatives.
